The Mackie SRT212 is a 12-inch, two-way professional powered loudspeaker built for portable PA reinforcement, stage monitoring, and installed sound applications. Its onboard amplification and integrated digital mixer reduce the amount of separate equipment needed for a straightforward sound system. It is suited to performers, DJs, event hosts, educators, houses of worship, and venues needing flexible full-range sound.
A 1600-watt peak Class-D amplification system drives the 12-inch low-frequency driver and 1.4-inch polymer compression driver. The SRT212 reaches a specified maximum peak SPL of 132 dB and has a 44 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range at -10 dB. Its 90-degree horizontal by 60-degree vertical coverage is designed to distribute sound across a defined listening area.
Advanced Impulse DSP provides acoustic tuning, precision crossover processing, and transducer time alignment. The Sym-X horn is engineered to provide controlled high-frequency coverage and a smooth transition through the crossover region. Five selectable voicing modes let users adapt the speaker response for flat playback, live performance, speech, club playback, or floor-monitor use.
SRT Mix Control provides a built-in four-channel digital mixer with two XLR/TRS combo inputs, a stereo 1/8-inch auxiliary input, and Bluetooth streaming. Channel 2 can be configured for a high-impedance instrument source, allowing a guitar to connect without a separate DI box. A color TFT display and rotary encoder provide access to levels, EQ, delay, speaker modes, Bluetooth settings, and configuration controls.
The SRT212 can operate on its own, feed additional loudspeakers through direct and mix outputs, or work with a subwoofer through its selectable high-pass options. Two SRT loudspeakers can be wirelessly linked for stereo or zone applications, with control available through the SRT Connect app. Its cabinet can be pole-mounted, used as a 45-degree floor monitor, or flown vertically using its integrated M10 mounting points and suitable professional rigging hardware.
Key Features
- 1600W Class-D Amplification: Integrated peak-power amplification removes the need for an external power amp.
- 12-Inch Two-Way System: Combines a ferrite woofer with a 1.4-inch polymer compression driver.
- SRT Mix Control: Built-in digital mixing supports microphones, line sources, instruments, aux audio, and Bluetooth.
- Advanced Impulse DSP: Provides crossover processing and time alignment for controlled system performance.
- Bluetooth Speaker Linking: Wirelessly links two compatible SRT loudspeakers in stereo or zone modes.
- Flexible Cabinet Placement: Supports pole mounting, floor-monitor placement, and qualified flown installation.
Design & Installation
The SRT212 uses an asymmetrical black polypropylene enclosure with a light black textured finish. Its front grille is made from 16-18 gauge perforated steel with nylon net backing and a powder-coated black finish. The cabinet includes two side handles and a partial top handle for carrying.
For portable use, place the SRT212 on a stable floor or a pole capable of supporting its weight; the built-in pole socket offers a standard position and a 7-degree downward-tilt position. Connect microphones, mixers, instruments, or a stereo 1/8-inch source to the appropriate inputs, then use the direct outputs or mix output to expand the system. For flown applications, use only the integrated M10 points with suitable hardware and a qualified professional installer.

Is the SRT212 a passive speaker?
No. It is a powered loudspeaker with built-in Class-D amplification and a built-in digital mixer. It connects directly to AC power using its included detachable power cord.
Can I connect a microphone and guitar directly?
Yes. The two XLR/TRS combo inputs support mic and line sources, while channel 2 can be configured for a high-impedance instrument source such as a guitar. A separate DI box is not required for that channel when Hi-Z mode is selected.
Can two SRT212 speakers work wirelessly together?
Yes. Two SRT Series loudspeakers can be wirelessly linked for Bluetooth music streaming and control. Stereo and zone linking modes are available.
Can it be used with a subwoofer?
Yes. The speaker includes selectable subwoofer high-pass settings for Off, Mackie SR18S, Mackie DRM18S, or a variable setting. The variable subwoofer high-pass range is 40 Hz to 160 Hz.
Can the SRT212 be used as a stage monitor?
Yes. Its asymmetrical cabinet supports a 45-degree monitor position, and it includes a Monitor voicing mode. This mode is intended for use when the speaker is placed in floor-monitor orientation.
Does it include a speaker stand or cover?
A detachable AC power cord is included. Mackie lists the SRT212 cover, rolling bag, T100 tripod stand, and rigging hardware as optional accessories.
