The Mackie SRM215 V-Class is a self-powered 15-inch loudspeaker designed for portable PA, DJ playback, live music, presentations, and stage-monitor duties. Its built-in amplification and mixer reduce the amount of external equipment needed for a working sound system. Connect microphones, line-level gear, instruments, or a stereo playback device directly to the speaker. It is intended for users who need a flexible full-range loudspeaker with onboard control.
A 15-inch low-frequency driver and 1.4-inch polymer compression driver cover the full-range program, with a specified 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range at -10 dB. The system is rated for up to 136 dB peak SPL and uses a 2,000-watt peak Class-D amplifier platform. Mackie specifies Advanced Impulse DSP for crossover and transducer time alignment. Intelligent Bass Management is designed to maintain tonal balance as output levels rise.
SRM Mix Control provides a built-in four-channel digital mixer for sources used at small events, rehearsals, and mobile setups. Channels 1 and 2 use XLR/TRS combo inputs, while the dedicated channel 3/4 input accepts a 1/8-inch stereo source. Direct outputs for channels 1 and 2 plus a balanced mix output support signal routing to additional speakers. A color TFT display and rotary controller provide access to levels, EQ, voicing, delay, and system settings.
Bluetooth functionality supports wireless audio streaming and linking with a second SRM V-Class speaker. When used with the SRM Connect app, compatible mobile devices can remotely access levels, EQ, presets, and speaker settings. The speaker can store up to 10 user presets to help streamline repeat setups. Its selectable voicing options accommodate different applications, including flat playback, live sound, speech, club playback, and monitor use.
The SRM215 V-Class can serve as a main PA loudspeaker, a floor monitor, or part of a larger system with a powered subwoofer. Its dual-angle cabinet supports vertical placement or a 45-degree monitor position, while the built-in pole mount offers straight or 7-degree downward-tilt placement. Integrated M10 fly points support properly planned permanent installation. For expanded low-frequency systems, the onboard subwoofer high-pass options include Off, DRM18S, and variable settings.
Key Features
- 2,000W Peak Class-D Amplification: Built-in amplification powers the loudspeaker without an external power amp.
- 15-Inch Full-Range Driver: Delivers substantial low-frequency coverage for PA and playback applications.
- SRM Mix Control: Four-channel digital mixing handles microphones, instruments, and playback sources.
- Bluetooth Streaming And Linking: Stream audio wirelessly or link two SRM V-Class speakers.
- Advanced DSP Processing: Provides crossover, alignment, EQ, voicing, and protection functions.
- Flexible Cabinet Positioning: Use vertically, as a 45-degree monitor, pole-mounted, or flown.
Design & Installation
The SRM215 V-Class uses an asymmetrical black polypropylene enclosure with a light black textured finish. Its grille is made from 16-to-18-gauge perforated steel with nylon net backing and a powder-coated black finish. The cabinet includes two side handles and one partial top handle. Front Power/Signal indication and rear Speaker Control indication provide visual system status.
Use the cabinet on the floor, on a suitable pole through its built-in bottom socket, or in a horizontal wedge position for monitoring. The pole mount offers straight and 7-degree downward-tilt positions; verify that any stand or pole can support the 48.9-pound speaker. For flown installation, use the integrated M10 points with appropriate M10 x 1.5 x 20 mm forged shoulder eyebolts and proper rigging practices. Use balanced XLR or 1/4-inch connections where possible, and do not connect an amplifier output directly to an input.

Is the SRM215 V-Class a car audio speaker?
No. It is an AC-powered professional PA loudspeaker for live sound, playback, and monitor applications. It is not designed as a vehicle speaker or car-audio subwoofer.
What can I connect directly to this speaker?
Channels 1 and 2 accept XLR microphone signals and 1/4-inch balanced or unbalanced line-level signals. Channel 2 can also accept a Hi-Z instrument source when configured accordingly, and channel 3/4 accepts a 1/8-inch stereo line-level source.
Does it need an external amplifier or mixer?
No external power amplifier is needed because the speaker has built-in Class-D amplification. Its onboard SRM Mix Control mixer supports four channels, though an external mixer may still be useful for larger systems.
Can I use it with a subwoofer?
Yes. The onboard subwoofer high-pass settings include Off, DRM18S, and a variable option. Mackie also lists the DRM18S and SR18S powered subwoofers as compatible system-expansion options.
Can two SRM215 V-Class speakers be linked wirelessly?
Yes. Bluetooth can wirelessly link two SRM V-Class speakers for streaming and system control. Mackie specifies up to 100 meters of range between linked speakers.
What is included for power connection?
A detachable power cord is included with the loudspeaker. The speaker uses a standard 3-prong IEC power connection.
