The Mackie SRM212US is a 12-inch powered PA loudspeaker designed for portable sound reinforcement, stage monitoring, DJ playback, and installed-event applications. Its built-in amplification and digital processing reduce the need for separate power amplifiers, speaker processors, and an external mixer for straightforward setups. It is a professional audio loudspeaker rather than a vehicle-specific car audio speaker.
This model suits performers, DJs, presenters, venues, houses of worship, and production teams that need a self-powered full-range speaker. Two combination inputs, a dedicated stereo aux input, Bluetooth streaming, and onboard mixing allow common sources to connect directly. Direct outputs and a mix output also support expanded multi-speaker systems.
The SRM212 V-Class uses a 12-inch low-frequency driver and a 1.4-inch polymer compression driver in a two-way enclosure. Its specified frequency range extends from 42 Hz to 20 kHz at -10 dB, with a maximum peak SPL of 135 dB. A 90-degree horizontal by 60-degree vertical coverage pattern helps distribute sound across an audience area.
Mackie's Advanced Impulse DSP provides crossover processing and transducer time alignment, while Intelligent Bass Management is designed to maintain tonal balance at elevated output levels. The 2,000-watt peak Class-D amplifier platform divides power between the low- and high-frequency sections. Built-in processing includes speaker voicings, three-band EQ, alignment delay, selectable subwoofer filtering, and protective limiting.
For system growth, the SRM212US can be used alone, paired as stereo mains, used as a 45-degree floor monitor, or combined with a subwoofer. Its selectable subwoofer high-pass settings include a dedicated DRM18S mode and a variable mode for other compatible subwoofers. Bluetooth linking and the SRM Connect app provide wireless control and stereo or zone operation with a second compatible SRM V-Class loudspeaker.
Key Features
- 2,000W Peak Class-D Power: Built-in two-way amplification eliminates the need for an external power amp.
- 12-Inch Two-Way Design: Combines a ferrite woofer with a 1.4-inch polymer compression driver.
- SRM Mix Control: Integrated four-channel digital mixing supports connected sources and Bluetooth audio.
- Advanced Impulse DSP: Applies acoustic tuning, crossover processing, and transducer time alignment.
- Flexible Subwoofer Integration: Select DRM18S or variable high-pass filtering when adding a subwoofer.
- Dual-Use Cabinet: Functions as a pole-mounted main speaker or 45-degree stage monitor.
Design & Installation
The SRM212US uses an asymmetrical black polypropylene enclosure with a light black textured finish. Its front grille is made from 16- to 18-gauge perforated steel with nylon net backing and a powder-coated black finish. Two side handles and a partial top handle assist with transport and placement.
Place the loudspeaker on the floor, mount it on a suitably rated speaker pole using its built-in dual-angle socket, or position it horizontally as a wedge monitor. The forward pole socket provides a 7-degree downward tilt, while integrated M10 mounting points support qualified flown installation with specified forged shoulder eyebolts. Connect line-level, microphone, instrument, aux, or Bluetooth sources as appropriate, and connect the included detachable IEC power cord to compatible AC power.

Is the SRM212US a car audio speaker?
No. It is a self-powered professional PA loudspeaker for live sound, events, monitoring, and music playback. It requires AC mains power and is not designed for direct connection to a vehicle head unit or 12-volt electrical system.
Can I connect a microphone directly to it?
Yes. Channel 1 accepts microphone or line-level signals through its XLR/1/4-inch combination input. Channel 2 can accept line-level signals or a high-impedance instrument signal through its 1/4-inch input when configured for Hi-Z.
Do I need a separate mixer?
Not necessarily for simple systems. The speaker has SRM Mix Control with two main input channels, a 1/8-inch stereo aux input, Bluetooth audio, level controls, EQ, and processing.
Can I use it with a subwoofer?
Yes. The onboard subwoofer menu includes Off, DRM18S, and variable modes. DRM18S mode sets the crossover point to 90 Hz, while variable mode allows subwoofer high-pass adjustment from 40 Hz to 160 Hz.
What is included with the loudspeaker?
A detachable IEC power cord is included with the loudspeaker. Speaker stands, pole mounts, covers, rolling bags, and rigging hardware are optional accessories.
Can it be used as a stage monitor?
Yes. The cabinet may be placed horizontally in its wedge configuration at a 45-degree monitor angle. It also includes monitor-specific speaker voicing and a rotatable front logo.
