EMB Professional EPS65 Rack-Mount Studio Pre-Amplifier

The EMB Professional EPS65 is a rack-mount stereo pre-amplifier and audio receiver designed to bring several playback sources together in one component. It provides source selection and line-level routing for home audio, studio, DJ, and installed sound systems. Use it ahead of an external power amplifier, powered speakers, or another compatible line-level device.

Built-in Bluetooth streaming, FM radio, USB playback, and SD-card playback provide convenient everyday listening options without adding separate source components. Wired equipment can connect through the front 3.5 mm input or rear RCA inputs. The front-panel display helps identify media playback information and operating modes.

The EPS65 is intended for systems that need practical source management and adjustable output tone rather than speaker-driving amplification. Bass, midrange, treble, balance, microphone level, and master-volume controls allow on-unit adjustments. A front headphone output supports private monitoring.

Its media section includes USB and SD-card readers along with a recording mode that saves audio to connected USB or SD media. The FM tuner uses an external antenna connection to support reception. Bluetooth 2.1 provides wireless streaming from compatible phones, tablets, and computers at a stated range of 25 feet or more.

For system expansion, the EPS65 offers RCA source connections, line-level RCA output, and dedicated mono RCA subwoofer outputs. Detachable rack-mount hardware allows installation with compatible rack equipment, while the included remote supports operation from away from the front panel. It is a practical source-control component for upgrading an existing amplifier-and-speaker system.

Design & Installation

The EPS65 uses a rack-width component layout with a metal chassis and aluminum-alloy front panel. Its front panel combines the LCD display, media controls, USB and SD readers, headphone output, source controls, and rotary sound adjustments. Rear-panel connections support source inputs, line-level system output, FM antenna connection, power input, and selectable operating voltage.

Mount the unit in a compatible rack using the detachable hardware or place it with other audio components on a stable, ventilated surface. Route its line-level output to an external amplifier, powered speakers, or another compatible line-level input; it does not replace a power amplifier for passive speakers. Disconnect power before setting the rear voltage selector, connect the FM antenna for radio use, and use USB or SD media up to the stated supported capacity.
