The EMB Pro PA-6400 is a two-channel rack-mount professional power amplifier for passive PA speakers. It is intended for DJ systems, karaoke rigs, bands, clubs, and other installed or portable sound setups that need amplification after a mixer or other line-level source. The UPC provided corresponds to the PA-6400 model, which is rated at 3200 watts maximum peak output.

This amplifier provides separate Channel A and Channel B gain controls, allowing each channel's output level to be adjusted independently. That arrangement is useful for stereo speaker systems or for systems using two separately controlled speaker feeds. Power, signal, clip, and protect indicators provide at-a-glance operating status from the front panel.

The PA-6400 uses Class A/B output circuitry and accepts analog audio through XLR or 1/4-inch inputs. Its speaker outputs include Speakon-style connectors and banana binding posts, giving installers connection choices based on their existing speaker cabling. It is designed to drive passive speakers and does not replace a mixer, source device, or powered speaker.

A single cooling fan moves air from front to rear to support operation in rack-based systems. The chassis measures 18.9 inches wide, 3.54 inches high, and 11.42 inches deep, fitting the form factor commonly used for 19-inch equipment racks. Its metal enclosure and front-panel controls make it suited to equipment cases, mobile DJ racks, and fixed PA installations.

For a complete system, connect a compatible mixer, processor, or other line-level source to the amplifier inputs and connect properly matched passive speakers to the output terminals. Set both gain controls low before powering the system, then raise levels gradually while monitoring the clip indicators. Maintain clear airflow around the fan and verify the rear voltage selector is set correctly before connecting AC power.

Key Features

  • Two-Channel Operation: Separate gain controls let you adjust Channel A and Channel B independently.
  • 3200W Maximum Peak Rating: Provides the stated maximum peak-power capability for PA applications.
  • Class A/B Circuitry: Uses a conventional professional power-amplifier output design.
  • XLR And 1/4-Inch Inputs: Connects to compatible mixers, processors, and analog audio sources.
  • Speakon And Binding-Post Outputs: Supports professional speaker cables, banana plugs, or properly terminated bare wire.
  • Status LED Monitoring: Power, signal, clip, and protect lights help monitor amplifier operation.

Design & Installation

The PA-6400 uses a black metal rack-mount chassis with a front-mounted AC power switch, dual gain knobs, and channel-status LEDs. Its 18.9-inch width is compatible with standard 19-inch rack installations, while its 3.54-inch height corresponds to a 2U rack profile. A single rear fan provides front-to-rear cooling airflow.

Install the amplifier where its ventilation path remains unobstructed. Connect line-level equipment through the XLR or 1/4-inch inputs, then connect passive speakers using Speakon-style cables or the banana binding posts with correct polarity. Check the 115V/230V selector before connecting the supplied AC power cord to a grounded outlet, and reduce level if clip indicators illuminate frequently.
