The Arturia MiniLAB 37 is a compact 37-key MIDI keyboard controller for composing, performing, programming beats, and controlling music software. It adds a wider playing range than a typical 25-key controller while remaining suited to desktops, small studios, and mobile rigs. Its slim-key layout gives players more room for chords, melodies, and two-handed parts without requiring a full-size keyboard footprint.

Designed for new producers as well as experienced musicians needing a portable secondary controller, MiniLAB 37 combines playable keys with direct hands-on controls. The velocity-sensitive keybed responds to playing dynamics, while the RGB pads support finger drumming, clip launching, and performance commands. Eight encoders and four faders provide practical access to instrument parameters, mix levels, and effects.

MiniLAB 37 is a MIDI controller, so it sends MIDI notes and control messages to compatible software or external MIDI hardware rather than producing sound on its own. It integrates with Arturia instruments including Analog Lab and supports DAW control through dedicated mappings and MCU/HUI protocols. A mini display and clickable browsing knob provide visual feedback when navigating presets and settings.

Creative functions help turn simple ideas into musical parts quickly. The built-in arpeggiator creates tempo-synced note patterns, while Chord mode lets one key trigger a chord voicing and Hold sustains notes hands-free. Octave controls and semitone transpose extend the keyboard's usable range without changing its compact size.

For a computer- or iPad-based production system, MiniLAB 37 connects by class-compliant USB-C and is USB powered. A 5-pin MIDI DIN output supports connection to external MIDI instruments, and the control-pedal input accepts sustain pedals, expression pedals, or footswitches. The included software package provides tools for sound exploration, DAW recording, samples, learning, and controller configuration.

Design & Installation

MiniLAB 37 uses a compact, wider-and-shallower desktop form factor measuring 503 x 183 x 54 mm. Its construction incorporates a minimum of 50% recycled plastic, and it ships in fully recyclable cardboard packaging. The control surface combines slim keys, RGB pads, encoders, faders, touch strips, a mini display, and a clickable browser control in a streamlined layout.

Connect the included USB-C-to-USB-A cable directly to a computer for power and MIDI operation, then select the MiniLAB 37 MIDI port in compatible music software. For external MIDI instruments, connect the rear 5-pin MIDI DIN output to the instrument's MIDI input; a compatible pedal may be connected to the control input when additional performance control is needed. For iPad use, connect through a compatible USB-C arrangement appropriate to the iPad and music app being used.
