The Arturia MiniFuse 1 White is a compact USB audio interface for recording a microphone, guitar, bass, synthesizer, or other line-level source with a computer. It provides a focused single-input recording setup for musicians, podcasters, streamers, and creators who want dedicated audio connections beyond a computer's built-in sound hardware. The USB-powered design keeps the desktop or mobile recording rig simple.

Its combo XLR/1/4-inch input supports mic, instrument, and line sources, with a selectable high-impedance instrument mode for direct guitar or bass connection. The microphone preamp provides up to 56 dB of gain, while optional 48V phantom power supports compatible condenser microphones. A 24-bit, up-to-192 kHz audio capability gives projects access to common professional recording sample rates.

MiniFuse 1 is designed for clear, practical monitoring while recording and editing. Its rear-panel balanced 1/4-inch monitor outputs connect to powered studio monitors or a mixer, while the front-panel headphone output provides a separate listening connection with its own level control. The Direct Monitor switch lets the input be heard without computer-processing latency.

For content creation and production workflows, the interface includes a stereo virtual loopback channel. This can route computer audio into recording software for capturing application, browser, or game audio alongside a voiceover when the system and software are configured accordingly. The rear USB-A hub can also connect a compatible low-power USB device, helping conserve a computer port.

The MiniFuse 1 fits naturally into a compact computer-based music or content setup: connect one source, add headphones or powered monitors, and select the interface in the recording software. It includes USB connection cables and an associated software bundle for registered users. Arturia backs the MiniFuse range with a 5-year hardware warranty.

Key Features

  • Combo Mic/Instrument/Line Input: Connect one XLR microphone or 1/4-inch instrument or line-level source to the same front-panel input.
  • 24-Bit/192 kHz Audio: Supports high-resolution recording and playback at sample rates up to 192 kHz.
  • 48V Phantom Power: Supplies standard phantom power for compatible condenser microphones when needed.
  • Direct Monitoring: Lets you hear the input directly to avoid computer-processing latency while tracking.
  • Stereo Loopback Channel: Routes computer audio to virtual inputs for recording compatible application audio.
  • USB-A Hub: Provides a USB 2.0 Type-A port for compatible low-power accessories up to 250 mA.

Design & Installation

The MiniFuse 1 uses a compact white desktop format with front-panel gain, monitor, and headphone controls for quick access. Its gain control includes an LED status indicator that illuminates blue when a source is detected and red when the input overloads. Arturia states that MiniFuse interfaces undergo more than 200 reliability tests and are covered by a 5-year hardware warranty.

Connect the interface to a Mac or Windows computer with one of the included USB cables, then select MiniFuse 1 as the input and output device in the operating system or recording application. Connect powered speakers, a mixer, or an amplifier with the two balanced 1/4-inch TRS monitor outputs; balanced TRS cables are recommended when the connected equipment supports them. Use the Instrument switch for guitar or bass pickups, and turn phantom power off before connecting or disconnecting microphones.
