The Arturia MINIBRUTE2 is a 25-key semi-modular analog synthesizer designed for hands-on sound design, performance, and hardware-based music creation. It combines a complete playable synth voice with a 48-point CV and Gate patchbay, allowing it to operate as a self-contained instrument or as part of a modular setup. Its built-in keyboard, arpeggiator, and sequencer provide immediate ways to create bass lines, leads, rhythmic patterns, and evolving textures.

This instrument is suited to musicians who want direct control over an analog signal path without requiring a fully modular system from the start. Its normalled internal routing lets users make sound without connecting patch cables, while the patchbay opens access to deeper modulation and control-voltage routing. That makes it practical for both conventional keyboard-based playing and exploratory patch-based workflows.

The MINIBRUTE2 uses two analog VCOs, waveform mixing, white noise, and an external audio input to form its sound source. VCO 1 offers saw, square, and triangle waveforms with UltraSaw, pulse-width, and Metalizer shaping options, while VCO 2 supplies sine, saw, and square waveforms. Hard sync and linear or exponential frequency modulation add additional harmonic and motion-focused sound-shaping options.

A 12 dB-per-octave Steiner-Parker multimode filter handles low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and notch duties. The filter is paired with an ADSR envelope, a flexible AD envelope, two sync-capable LFOs, and Arturia's Brute Factor circuit for added drive and feedback-style character. These controls support sounds ranging from focused bass and lead patches to animated modulation effects and experimental tones.

The MINIBRUTE2 integrates easily with a studio through MIDI DIN, USB, line output, headphones, CV/Gate connections, and clock synchronization connections. Its 48-point patchbay is built for interaction with Eurorack-level CV and Gate systems, while the onboard sequencer can store eight sequences of up to 64 steps each. For expansion, it can serve as a keyboard-controlled analog voice and modulation source within a larger hardware or Eurorack-oriented setup.

The MINIBRUTE2 uses a compact desktop keyboard format with a front-panel control layout centered on physical knobs, faders, switches, patch points, and performance controls. Its semi-modular design keeps the primary synthesizer voice available through internal routing while placing voice, modulation, sequencer, utility, and connectivity points within reach. The instrument measures 19 x 13.2 x 2.3 inches and weighs approximately 10.6 pounds.

Connect the Master output to a mixer, audio interface, amplifier, or powered monitor using a 1/4-inch TS cable, or use the 1/4-inch headphone output for personal monitoring. MIDI DIN and USB Type-B support connection to compatible controllers and computers, while 3.5 mm patch connections support Eurorack-level CV, Gate, and clock signals.
