The Arturia KeyLab 88 mk3 is an 88-key USB MIDI controller designed for piano-focused playing, music production, and live performance. Its fully weighted hammer-action keybed gives players a more substantial response than compact controller keyboards while providing hands-on control of virtual instruments and DAWs. It is a controller rather than a sound-generating keyboard, so it is intended to work with a computer, compatible software, or external MIDI hardware.

Built around a Fatar TP/110 keybed with aftertouch, the KeyLab 88 mk3 is suited to players who want full-range piano access alongside expressive MIDI control. Velocity response, release behavior, and aftertouch support help translate playing dynamics into compatible software instruments. Pitch and modulation wheels, performance pads, faders, and encoders keep common musical and mixing controls close at hand.

A 3.5-inch full-color display and eight contextual buttons provide visual feedback while navigating sounds, projects, and controller functions. The keyboard includes 12 velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads, nine touch-sensitive rotary encoders, and nine touch-sensitive 50 mm faders. Creative tools including Chord mode, Scale mode, a multi-mode arpeggiator, and Hold function support idea development without reaching for a mouse.

KeyLab 88 mk3 integrates with Arturia Analog Lab and V Collection instruments, with dedicated integration for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Bitwig Studio, and MainStage. NKS compatibility and MCU/HUI support expand its usefulness with compatible Native Instruments workflows and general DAW control. Up to six user presets allow custom controller assignments for different software or hardware setups.

USB-C carries power, MIDI data, and control information when connected to a computer, while 5-pin MIDI DIN connections support external gear. The controller also provides pedal connectivity for sustain, modulation, expression, and auxiliary control, with support for up to four pedals. A laptop plate and sheet-music holder are included to help create an organized composing, recording, or performance station.

The included laptop plate and music holder attach to support practical studio and performance layouts.

Connect the included USB-C-to-USB-A cable directly to a computer for power, MIDI communication, and DAW control, then select the KeyLab MIDI and DAW ports in compatible software. External synths, drum machines, or MIDI devices can connect through the 5-pin MIDI DIN input and output, while compatible pedals connect at the rear panel inputs. For computer-free MIDI output use, an optional 12V DC, 1.0A center-positive power supply can power the controller.
