The Arturia KeyLab 49 mk3 ULTRA is a 49-key USB MIDI keyboard controller in the limited Ultra Orange finish. The semi-weighted, synth-action keybed supports velocity response, release velocity, and channel aftertouch for expressive MIDI performance. Dedicated pitch and modulation wheels, performance pads, encoders, faders, and transport controls keep essential functions within reach.

KeyLab 49 mk3 ULTRA does not generate audio on its own; it controls compatible software instruments, DAWs, and MIDI equipment. Its control layout supports playing virtual instruments, triggering clips or drum parts, adjusting plug-in parameters, and managing DAW transport functions. Scale, Chord, Arpeggiator, and Hold functions provide additional tools for sketching parts and creating performances.

A 3.5-inch full-color display provides visual feedback, while eight contextual buttons support navigation and parameter access. Nine touch-sensitive rotary encoders and nine touch-sensitive 50 mm faders provide direct control over assigned sound and mix parameters. The controller also offers integration with Analog Lab, Arturia instruments, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Bitwig Studio, MainStage, and MCU/HUI-compatible workflows.

For a broader production system, USB-C connects KeyLab to a computer and MIDI Control Center, while 5-pin MIDI ports support external gear. A configurable pedal control input accepts a sustain pedal, expression pedal, or footswitch. The Ultra Orange edition retains the KeyLab mk3 control architecture and adds a distinctive finish for studios and stages.
