The Arturia AstroLab Silver is a 61-key stage keyboard designed to bring a broad library of performance-ready instruments into one self-contained hardware instrument. It addresses the challenge of moving sounds from a studio software workflow to a live rig without relying on a computer during the performance. Its semi-weighted, piano-size keybed with aftertouch supports expressive playing across synth, piano, organ, pad, bass, and other sound categories.

AstroLab is suited to keyboard players, producers, and touring musicians who need fast sound selection and dependable access to varied tones. It includes more than 1,800 onboard sounds spanning acoustic-style instruments, electric pianos, organs, classic synth voices, digital textures, and modern hybrid sounds. The navigation wheel with integrated display and 10 preset buttons help keep frequently used sounds close at hand.

Its sound character is shaped by 11 built-in sound engines, including virtual analog, samples, wavetable, FM, granular, physical modeling, vector synthesis, harmonic synthesis, phase distortion, vocoder, and Karplus synthesis. This gives a single keyboard the range to cover direct piano and organ parts as well as layered pads, evolving textures, leads, and electronic bass sounds. Polyphony is optimized by instrument, with pianos, electric pianos, and organs specified at 48 voices.

Hands-on performance control is central to the AstroLab workflow. Four macro controls provide access to Brightness, Timbre, Time, and Movement, while four dedicated effect controls include Delay and Reverb. Multis and keyboard splits allow two-part setups, and onboard arpeggiator, MIDI looper, chord, and scale functions expand what can be performed without external sequencing gear.

AstroLab Silver connects naturally to a stage mixer, powered speaker system, studio interface, MIDI hardware, and computer-based production setup. Balanced stereo outputs, a stereo audio input, headphone output, MIDI DIN I/O, USB-C, USB-A host, Bluetooth audio input, and Wi-Fi provide practical integration options. Analog Lab Pro and AstroLab Connect support organizing sounds, playlists, and compatible preset workflows between studio preparation and live use.

The AstroLab Silver is a full-size 61-key performance keyboard with a silver exterior finish, illuminated key and encoder feedback, a navigation wheel with display, and dedicated performance controls. For setup, connect the included power supply, then run the balanced 1/4-inch TRS outputs to a mixer, audio interface, powered monitors, or DI-equipped stage system. Use the USB-C device port for computer connection and the USB-A host port for supported USB MIDI devices or USB playlist import; MIDI DIN I/O supports external MIDI hardware.
