The EMB Professional EMIC-1700 is a dual-handheld UHF wireless microphone system for singing, announcements, presentations, and other vocal applications. It is designed to add cordless microphone capability to compatible PA speakers, karaoke machines, mixers, amplifiers, and audio equipment with a microphone-level input. The compact receiver connects directly to a 1/4-inch MIC input, helping simplify setup for shared-use sound systems.

With two included handheld microphones, the EMIC-1700 supports duets, co-hosted events, classroom activities, worship services, speeches, and small gatherings. The microphones use a dynamic vocal design suited to direct speech and singing pickup. Gray and vermilion color accents help distinguish the two microphones during shared use.

The system uses UHF wireless transmission and is specified for an operating range of up to 160 feet. Automatic connection allows the microphones and receiver to synchronize after power-on without a separate manual pairing step. The receiver also uses automatic frequency searching to help locate a cleaner operating point when other wireless signals are present.

Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are specified for both the microphones and receiver, reducing the need for disposable microphone batteries. This makes the system practical for recurring karaoke nights, meetings, school activities, DJ setups, and mobile speaking events. Charging should be completed before use so all three wireless components are ready for the event.

The EMIC-1700 is intended as a straightforward wireless vocal upgrade rather than a complete sound system. It requires compatible amplified equipment with a microphone input to reproduce sound. The EMIC-1700 uses handheld microphones with a matte metal exterior intended for regular transport and repeated event use. Gray and vermilion accents differentiate the two transmitters, while the receiver has a compact direct-plug format. The microphones are designed around a handheld dynamic vocal configuration for speaking and karaoke applications.

Insert the receiver into a compatible 6.35 mm MIC input, or use the included 3.5 mm adapter when the sound system has a smaller microphone input. Connect only to a microphone-level input; AUX, line-in, and audio-in connections are not intended for this receiver. Charge the receiver and microphones before use, then power on the components for automatic connection.
