The VOXX ACA800 is a wired rear-view backup camera designed to add a clear view behind a car, truck, or van while reversing. Its license-plate mounting arrangement is intended to position the camera neatly without blocking the plate. It is a practical upgrade for vehicles with an aftermarket video-capable receiver or separate monitor.
A 150-degree viewing angle helps show a broad area behind the vehicle for parking and maneuvering in confined spaces. The color CMOS camera uses high-sensitivity optics to support visibility in lower-light conditions. Parking guide lines provide a visual reference when backing into a space.
The ACA800 is built for rear-facing vehicle use with an IP67-rated waterproof housing. Its operating-temperature range of -30°C to +70°C supports use through changing seasonal conditions. The camera draws a maximum of 80 mA and is designed to be powered from a 12-volt reverse-light circuit.
This camera sends video through a standard RCA connection, making it compatible with most monitor and TFT-screen installations that accept composite camera input. A blue loop lets the installer select a non-mirrored image when needed, allowing front- or rear-facing applications. A separate green loop can be cut to turn off the parking-line overlay.
For a complete backup-camera system, pair the ACA800 with a compatible monitor, multimedia receiver, or interface that accepts an RCA camera input. The included extension cable helps route the video signal from the rear of the vehicle to the display location. It is suited to replacement-camera installations or adding camera capability to an existing aftermarket video system.
Key Features
- 150° Wide-Angle View: Helps show a broad area behind the vehicle.
- Color CMOS Camera: Delivers a color rear-view image to a compatible display.
- Low-Light Sensitivity: Supports improved visibility in dim driving conditions.
- IP67 Waterproof Housing: Sealed construction is rated for outdoor vehicle use.
- Selectable Image Orientation: Blue loop enables non-mirrored image setup when cut.
- Switchable Parking Lines: Green loop can disable the guide-grid overlay when cut.
Design & Installation
The ACA800 combines a compact camera with a license-plate mounting bracket and also includes a CAM335 surface-mount bracket. Its waterproof housing is IP67 rated, while the compact integrated design is intended to keep the camera discreet at the rear of the vehicle. The included mounting hardware supports a plate-mounted or surface-mounted installation.
Connect the red power wire to the positive 12-volt reverse-lamp circuit and the black wire to negative ground so the camera operates in reverse. Route the video lead carefully to a compatible RCA-equipped monitor or receiver, avoiding pinched wiring and safety equipment. Use a video RCA extension cable rather than an audio cable if additional length is required; some vehicles with LED tail lamps may require an accessory-power connection.

Will the ACA800 work with my aftermarket radio or monitor?
It is compatible with most monitor and TFT screens that use a standard RCA video connection. Your display or receiver must have a compatible camera/video input.
Does this camera include a display screen?
No monitor is listed in the included package contents. The ACA800 requires a separate compatible RCA-equipped monitor, receiver, or video interface.
How is the camera powered?
The red power wire connects to the positive 12-volt reverse-lamp wire, and the black wire connects to negative ground. This arrangement powers the camera when the vehicle is in reverse.
Can I turn off the parking lines?
Yes. Cutting the green loop turns off the parking-line overlay according to the installation guide.
Can the image be used in a non-mirrored orientation?
Yes. Cutting the blue loop switches the camera to a non-mirrored image, which can support alternate mounting uses.
What is included for installation?
The package includes the camera, power and video cable, mounting hardware, a CAM335 bracket, and an installation manual. The camera package also includes a license-plate bracket arrangement.
