The Audiobank P7000-1D is a single-channel car audio amplifier intended to power a dedicated subwoofer system. It gives installers a separate bass amplification stage rather than relying on a head unit or multi-channel amplifier for low-frequency output. Its listed maximum output reaches 7,000 watts at a 1-ohm load.

This amplifier is suited to vehicle audio systems focused on adding or upgrading subwoofer output. It supports 1-, 2-, and 4-ohm speaker-load configurations, allowing compatibility with appropriately wired subwoofers. The monoblock layout keeps the amplifier’s role focused on the low-frequency portion of the system.

A variable low-pass crossover from 40 to 180 Hz helps limit the amplifier’s output to bass frequencies. The listed 17 Hz to 180 Hz frequency response is designed around subwoofer applications rather than full-range speaker duty. Variable gain and bass-boost controls provide adjustment during system setup.

The P7000-1D uses a MOSFET pulse-width-modulated power supply and a heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heatsink. A soft turn-on circuit is specified to help manage startup behavior. LED power and protection indicators provide visible operating-status feedback.

Line-level RCA and speaker-level inputs support connection to a variety of factory or aftermarket source units. A remote subwoofer level control is specified for convenient level adjustment from the cabin. Thermal and speaker-short protection circuitry add safeguards for everyday vehicle-audio use.

Key Features

  • Monoblock Configuration: Provides one dedicated amplifier channel for a subwoofer system.
  • 1-Ohm Stability: Supports compatible subwoofer wiring at 1, 2, or 4 ohms.
  • Variable Low-Pass Crossover: Adjusts the upper bass cutoff from 40 to 180 Hz.
  • Remote Level Control: Allows subwoofer-level adjustment from the listening position.
  • Dual Input Options: Accepts both line-level RCA and speaker-level signals.
  • Protection Monitoring: Includes thermal and speaker-short protection circuitry.

Design & Installation

The amplifier uses a heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heatsink to support heat management in a vehicle installation. Its MOSFET PWM power supply, soft turn-on circuit, and status LEDs are integrated into the amplifier design. Three onboard 30A fuses provide circuit protection.

Mount the amplifier to a solid surface with ventilation around the heatsink and away from moisture or direct heat. Match the connected subwoofer wiring to a supported total impedance, and set gain, crossover, and bass boost conservatively during tuning. Use the line-level or speaker-level input that matches the source unit, then connect the remote turn-on lead to a switched amplifier-control output.
