The Audiobank P2001 is a single-channel car audio amplifier designed to add dedicated subwoofer power to a vehicle sound system. Its monoblock layout concentrates its output on bass reproduction rather than powering a full set of speakers. It is suited to users building a separate subwoofer stage with a compatible aftermarket or factory-integrated audio system.

This Class AB amplifier is rated for 425 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms and lists 2,000 watts maximum output at 2 ohms. It supports 2- or 4-ohm speaker loads, giving installers options when selecting and wiring compatible subwoofers. A 20 Hz to 22 kHz frequency-response specification and adjustable controls allow it to be tuned for the role it plays in the system.

A continuously variable low-pass crossover adjusts from 50 Hz to 250 Hz, helping keep higher-frequency content out of the subwoofer channel. The variable bass boost provides adjustment from 0 to +12 dB, while the gain control is used to match amplifier sensitivity to the source unit. A selectable 0°/180° phase setting can help integrate subwoofer output with the rest of the vehicle's speakers.

The P2001 uses a MOSFET pulse-width-modulated power supply and a heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heatsink. Thermal and speaker-short protection circuitry is included to help protect the amplifier during fault or heat conditions. Soft turn-on circuitry and power/protection LED indicators support more controlled everyday operation and status checking.

In a complete upgrade path, the P2001 connects between a source unit and compatible subwoofer system using RCA signal connections, vehicle power and ground wiring, a remote turn-on lead, and speaker wiring. Its wired remote subwoofer-level control lets the driver adjust bass output from the listening position. The amplifier uses two onboard 20A fuses.

Mount the amplifier securely in a dry, ventilated area with airflow around the heatsink. It is intended for 12V DC negative-ground vehicles; use appropriate power, ground, remote-turn-on, RCA, and speaker wiring, and keep the ground connection short and secure. Use only a compatible 2- or 4-ohm subwoofer load, begin with gain and bass boost set conservatively, and have a qualified installer perform the work when needed.
